Elena Ovreiu is an academic, media personality and public policy expert on topics related to Medical Technology. She has done research in this field at renowned institutions across the world, including in the Far East, the Middle East, Western and Eastern Europe as well as South America. She is the Founder of SSIMA, the highest-level academic program of its kind in Eastern Europe, and has advised the President and Minister of Healthcare of Romania on topics related to the role of Medical Engineers in hospitals, as well as the importance of innovation in Medical Technology during the ongoing Corona pandemic.
For over 3 years, she was co-host of the “Trust Me, I’m an Engineer!” broadcast on the popular Guerilla Radio radio station.
